Quality Control System for Ice Cream Packaging Materials
To ensure food safety, brand consistency, and packaging durability, our factory operates a comprehensive, multi-stage Quality Control System. Every step adheres to food-contact regulations and international quality standards.
1. Raw Material Inspection
We strictly evaluate all incoming materials before production begins:
* Food-grade paper is checked for GSM (grammage), stiffness, moisture content, and food-contact compliance (FDA/LFGB).
* Water-based inks and food-safe adhesives are verified for safety certifications, odor control, and migration test compliance.
* FSC-certified substrates ensure traceability and environmental responsibility.
* Each batch undergoes **visual inspection** for contamination, impurities, surface defects, and color uniformity.
2. In-Process Quality Checks
Throughout the production of ice cream tubes, cone sleeves, and cups, we maintain strict in-line monitoring:
* Printing Quality Control:
* Color registration and Pantone matching
* Consistency of ink density and clarity of logos
* Prevention of smudging or ink bleeding
* Die-cutting & Forming Checks:
* Precise die-cut shape, symmetrical forming
* Edge alignment and seam integrity
* Smooth finishing without burrs or deformation
* Real-time Sampling:
Continuous sampling to monitor forming angles, crease depth, roundness (for tubes), and sleeve fit.
3. Final Product Testing
All finished ice cream packaging materials undergo comprehensive performance testing to guarantee safety and usability:
* Thickness Accuracy: Ensures barrier performance and stability.
* Temperature Resistance:
Withstanding freezing environments during ice cream filling, storage, and transport.
* Leak-Proof Performance:
For Calippo paper tubes and paper cups, we conduct multiple leak tests, including cold-water containment and pressure testing.
4. Final Quality Control (FQC) Before Shipment
Before every shipment, FQC ensures product consistency and compliance:
* Random batch inspections according to AQL standards
* Verification of print color, graphics, and logo accuracy
* Double-checking size, diameter, height, and fit
* Carton strength and packaging integrity testing
* Ensuring all specifications match customer order requirements
